Henley Women’s Regatta (HWR) is delighted to announce Marlow-based wealth management firm Herbert & Webster as its newest partner.
The support of partners such as Herbert & Webster is vital to enable HWR achieve its strategic aim of offering top-level, side-by-side racing for female rowers from across the UK and internationally.
Herbert & Webster operations director Marina Herbert said: “Although Herbert & Webster is based in Marlow, Adam and I live in Henley, so supporting the Women’s Regatta felt like a natural fit. It’s an event with real significance, both locally and within the sport, and being able to back it as a firm is something we’re genuinely pleased about.”
Herbert said the firm’s values meshed with those of HWR and she looked forward to being involved in an event that showcased high-achieving women.
“The reason it felt right for us goes beyond geography. We work with families on plans that play out over decades, not years, so we tend to think about things in the long run, including the kind of firm we want to build and the kind of industry we want to be part of,” Herbert said.
“Financial advice is still a profession where women are under-represented, and we want to support the women coming through, both in our own team and more widely. Getting behind an event that celebrates women at the top of their sport felt like a natural extension of that.
“It’s also about backing ambition, discipline and progress, qualities the regatta showcases beautifully and ones we try to bring to our own work. We’re delighted to be involved, and looking forward to a brilliant weekend.”
HWR chairman Naomi Ashcroft said: “We are thrilled that Herbert & Webster are partnering with Henley Women’s Regatta. Their vision of supporting women matches our aims exactly, and their backing helps us put on a regatta enabling our female athletes to perform to the best of their ability.”
Herbert & Webster join HWR’s existing partners – Henley estate agents Philip Booth, Esq, kitchen design company Kitchen Architecture, and construction engineering specialists Keltbray – as top-level supporters of the regatta.
