Car & trailer parking

Parking is in the HWR car park, via Gate A ONLY for both cars and vehicles towing trailers.  Strictly NO parking in the local lanes at any time.

This means that there is no parking available in Remenham Lane, Remenham Church Lane, Remenham village or Aston Lane for those attending HWR at any time.
Respecting our neighbours and the narrow lanes in Remenham village is crucial to the success and future of our regatta.

It is essential you support us by NOT arriving ahead of Car Park Opening Times;

Save time on race days, pre-book car parking and trailer spaces at HWR Parking

Compliance with parking requirements is a condition of entry. Any club whose competitors / coaches / supporters fail to adhere to the parking requirements will be excluded from the 2024 regatta and may be excluded from future regattas.
Please see HWR Traffic Management for more information

Parking on Remenham Lane, Remenham Church Lane and by the church causes congestion and makes it very difficult for the local community who have previously lodged official valid complaints. Any car parking in local roads is likely to mean that we will have to pay for traffic management which will result in an increase of the regatta entry fee.
To avoid issues a one-way traffic flow (see below) has been put in place and your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.

Access and One Way Traffic Flow

The one-way system to access Gate A is for both spectators and competitors and must be strictly adhered to from the Saturday morning prior to racing (15th June) until the Sunday evening after racing has finished (23rd June)

To reach Gate A, please use RG9 3EX for your Sat Nav to take you to the correct junction from the A4130 on to Remenham Church Lane.  Local signage will then direct you to Gate A.

Vehicles and boat trailers must NOT enter Remenhan Lane via the junction near Henley Bridge and must follow the one-way traffic flow signposted further up White Hill along Remenham Church Lane. Please make sure that your trailer driver is aware of this.

Book parking

You will require an e-ticket to access the car park
Car and trailer parking tickets are available from HWR Parking

Parking for trailers and cars carrying boats is free of charge but an e-ticket is still required for access.  We encourage coaches and team managers to ensure that trailers are parked up, ideally the day before, for morning races.
Parking e-tickets can be booked up to and including the day attending the regatta.
Tickets are issued as e-tickets which can be printed or presented on a mobile device at Gate A for access to the regatta site.
If you arrive without an e-ticket you will still need to book your car and/or trailer parking via the link at HWR Parking.

Note cash payment is not accepted

The venue and HWR accept no responsibility for vehicles or property in the car park Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle

Boat Trailer Parking

Parking for trailers and cars carrying boats is available from 12:00 hrs on Wednesday 19th June. The car park gate will be locked at 21:00 each evening.

An e-ticket must be booked for all trailers/towing vehicles and cars carrying boats. The e-ticket is only valid for the towing vehicle used to bring your trailer or car used to carry your boat and must be shown each time your towing vehicle/boat carrying car enters the car park at Gate A.

Note that in compliance with our Event Safety Management Plan, gazebos are not permitted to be installed in the trailer or car park.

Training and Pre-Race Preparation

Please note that the site will be under construction from Monday 17th June so access to landing stages will not be available until 16:00 hrs on Wednesday 19th June.
If you wish to train on the course before this time you will need to make separate arrangements with the local rowing clubs.

On race days, if you are intending an outing prior to racing starting and prior to the car park opening, if arriving by car, you must use the local car parks in Henley Town Centre and plan accordingly.
