Henley Women’s Regatta (HWR) is delighted to welcome construction and engineering company Keltbray as a main sponsor for 2025.

Keltbray has been a keen supporter of HWR since 2015 and this exciting 12-month sponsorship deal builds on the existing relationship, extending far beyond the three days of the regatta in June.

The partnership includes a bespoke programme of events for employees, delivered by some of HWR’s most inspirational female rowing ambassadors throughout the year. These events will focus on a variety of topics, from the broader benefits of sport and nature on physical and mental health, to the importance of teamwork and resilience, and the parallel challenges faced by women striving for success in a once male-focused sport and those working in the male-dominated construction industry.

The programme also includes an innovative Keltbray work placement in construction or engineering for a university student studying a STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subject.

HWR chairman Naomi Ashcroft said: “We see real synergies between the values of both organisations, the skills needed across both rowing and engineering, and we are excited about working together to build a relationship which champions women in rowing as well as in construction, fosters team building, and promotes a positive mindset to embrace challenges.”

Keltbray owner and executive chairman Brendan Kerr added: “This collaboration represents more than just sponsorship – it’s a shared commitment to progress. There are clear parallels between the challenges faced by women in rowing and those encountered by women in construction. Both arenas demand resilience, determination, and the breaking of long-standing barriers.

“Through this partnership, we aim to raise awareness of the vital role mental health plays in performance and wellbeing – on the water and on site. Equally, we are passionate about creating more pathways for women to enter and thrive in our industry, whether through STEM initiatives, graduate programmes, or apprenticeships.”
