The Henley course is unique – from a stakeboat start with nothing marking the division between stations, within the first 45 seconds of your race you’ve got to navigate from buoys to booms on the outside of the race course, respond to the possible crosswind as you emerge from the shelter of Temple Island. Then, without distance markers to help you know where you are on the 1500m course, you will move from one bank of the river almost over to the other.
If you’ve not raced here before, you need expert advice! And that’s exactly what WOX (The Winning Cox) team, led by Erin Kennedy, are going to provide!
Join them the day before racing starts for a FREE, hour-long course walk that will cover everything you need to ace your races!
When: 2pm on Thursday, 19 June 2025.
Where: Meet at the boating landing stages at mid-course.
Please book so the Wox team know how many people to expect and can send you further information:
The course walk is primarily designed for coxes and steers but other crew members and coaches are also very welcome.
International crews – the course walk is scheduled so you will have plenty of time to get ready for the International Crew Reception starting at 5.30pm, where you’ll be able to hear some more inspiration from Erin who is our guest speaker this year!
